Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR has been receiving not just interest from the audience from the film industry and outside but also from the political parties too. The hurdles that the movie is facing right before the release have been increasing day by day with the involvement of rivalry from the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, TDP.
Recently, the movie has been sent to the sensor board for the final cut. But, the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has stopped the release of the film and has further cited the election model code of conduct as the reason behind it. The movie was supposed to hit the theatres on March 22nd.
RGV, who has become extremely disappointed and furious with the decision of CBCF, tweeted on Sunday stating that he would take the issue to the court. “The film Lakshmi’s NTR’s contents do not fall in any of the prohibited guidelines and admittedly the CBFC has not even processed or viewed the film to come to such conclusion,” he wrote in his open letter to the court against the sensor board.
