After meeting up with Chief Minister KCR on Sunday, Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has decided to move into the TRS from his current MLA position from Sattupalli of Khammam district in TDP. Rumors suggest that his decision came out after his accusation for the cash-for-vote case. He had also been removed from the TTD board recently.
Mr. Venkata Veeraiah had moved from the yellow party to the pink party with a final goodbye, after his rendezvous with the CM at Pragati Bhavan which followed a discussion on the current scenarios. However, he says that he would talk to his well-wishers and supporters before switching parties. Veeraiah also claimed that he would resign TDP before he joins the current ruling party, TRS.
Despite working with extreme commitment to the cycle flag, Veeraiah said that he sees a positive side to moving parties and work better with the ruling as it gives him a better path to bring in “accelerated development”. And when it comes to the strength of Congress in the Assembly, with two MLAs jumping to TRS, it sure comes down to 17.
Apart from this, Atram Sakku and Rega Kantha Rao, who were MLAs of Congress have also moved into TRS after a meeting with KCR at the Pragathi Bhavan itself on Saturday. They have reportedly discussed issues with the Adivasis and Scheduled Tribes.
