Jnaan Peet Awardee and noted writer C Narayana Reddy passed away at Care Hospital on Monday morning due to illness. He was ailing with several health problems due to elderly age and was admitted in Care Hospital recently.
C Narayana Reddy was born in a remote village Hanumojipeta in KareemNagar district in 1931. He lands in Hyderabad after completing his education at Sircilla and Kareem Nagar. He studied BA in Urdu medium in Osmania University.
There is no need to introduce him and his extraordinary writing skills to Telugu people as his short name ‘Sinare’ is a household name for them.
He penned thousands of movie songs, poems and books etc. which are very popular. He entered into film industry in 1962 with film Gule Bhakavali movie and then penned songs for super hit movies like Raktha Sambandham, Paramanandayya Shishyula kadha, Bandhipotu, Chaduvukunna Ammayilu, Ramudu Bheemudu, Mangamma Sapatham, Tata Manavadu, Krishnaveni, O Seeta Kadha, Balipeetam, Mutyala Muggu, Shivaranjani, Swati Mutyam, Arundati etc. Many of his songs written for films are super hits and remained ever-green.
He was honored with Padmasri Award in 1977 and prestigious Jnan Peet Award for his novel Viswambara in 1988. He was also honored with Rajya Sabha membership in 1997. Telugu film industry that lost veteran actor, director and story writer Dasari Narayana Rao recently, feel very shocked and sad with the sudden demise of Dr. C Narayana Reddy.
